Fish Update-April 30, 2009
Posted on July 31st, 2010 14 comments
Sorry to anyone who has wanted more videos. I just moved and have been incredibly busy and haven’t had time to put up any videos. This is of my 20 gallon freshwater community tank. It has one Opaline Gourami, a Pleco, two redtail sharks and one molly. Also, a few seconds of my betta boys. Unfortunately, I need to set up better light with the bettas because their pretty colors are hard to see on this video.14 responses to “Fish Update-April 30, 2009”

an oscar? i had one of those and they grow big! you will need a 70 gallon tank
and fish that are too big for his mouth and make sure the lid is always on because they tend to jump and splash alot but other than that -

Osars will grow slower.. Due to a smaller tank.
And will most likely die earlier, because of depression.
Right now I have 4 albino oscars in a 200 GAL set up.
And they’re as happy as can be!!
But like I said earlier, oscars are amongst the group of fish that have wonderful personalities! -

Oscar.. Well unless you have the room and time to spend on caring for one.. I suggest.. a minimum of a 55 GAL until they get about… I would say.. 5 inches. Then after that.. 100+ Gal

They are tropical cichlids and require a temp of 76-80 F.
And a diet with some variety in it!
They’re great fish! Amazing personalities.
Just be sure you’re ready to take responsibility for their needs!Best of luck!
And btw.. awesome fish : ]
